Infleqtion and Thorlabs have announced a new agreement to commercialize Infleqtion’s optical fibre collimation package, marking a step forward in advancing quantum technology.
This collimation package provides a linearly polarized collimated beam with integrated power monitoring, offering a compact and robust solution. It is designed to meet the stringent requirements of quantum technology applications, further enabling its use in commercial markets and increasing the likelihood of economic impact across various sectors.

The fibre collimation package was developed as part of the Innovate UK-funded project QT Assemble, a consortium led by Fraunhofer CAP, which included Infleqtion. The aim of the QT Assemble project is to develop compact quantum technology packages, making widespread adoption easier across industries.
Through this licensing agreement, Thorlabs will enable more research teams and developers to utilize advanced collimation capabilities, accelerating the development of quantum technologies for the global market.
