IonQ Boosts Leadership with New CEO and Board Addition

IonQ, announced key leadership changes on February 26, 2025. Niccolo de Masi stepped into the role of President and CEO, replacing Peter Chapman, who became Executive Chairman. De Masi, a board member since 2021, has led companies like Glu Mobile and holds physics degrees from Cambridge University. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead IonQ during this pivotal moment for quantum computing,” he said.

That same day, Gabrielle Toledano joined IonQ’s Board of Directors. With over 30 years in tech at firms like Tesla and Microsoft, she’s now COO at Keystone Strategy. “IonQ is at the forefront of the quantum computing revolution, and I am excited to join the board during such a pivotal time,” Toledano stated. Peter Chapman noted, “Her experience guiding some of the world’s most innovative companies… will be integral to our team.”
