End-to-End Quantum Transmission, On-demand

Yale researchers are playing ball, baseball, sorta, with qubits. Akin to clustering classical computers, the approach networks quantum systems and their qubits. Similar to a classical network, the qubits being fired (pitched) must be coordinated with the receiving end (caught) or else risk overwhelming the catcher. Therein lies the benefit of the study — bringing the pitch and catch into synchronized send-and-receive, on-demand. More has been discovered and researched, read on for further details. April 23, 2018.
