The University of Gdansk is wasting no time to join the quantum computing community. Through the newly commissioned International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT), the University has set aside large amounts of funding for the center, in part to study quantum algorithms, focusing on quantum-resistance. Though skeptical about the future of quantum computing’s power, physicists at the center have admittedly stated their original impression — that quantum computers would be “impossible” — have had to be re-considered. Good article at a layperson’s level regarding quantum encryption.
