Nanoparticles: Basic Element of Quantum Computers?
Recent work by by leading Russian Universities has led to new possibilities of controlling light in nano-scale devices executing ultrafast information processing. The ability to control light at the nano-scale is key to far-surpassing the speed of traditional silicon (electric) based processing. The research conducted highlights the broad scope of applications produced by the research. These possibilities include quantum cryptography and optical quantum computing.
