Quantum Advantage Achieved?

IBM, the Technical University of Munich, and the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, have presented proof of the theorized superiority of a quantum computing over classical computing.  A new quantum circuit has been developed by this team of researchers, and owing to the circuit’s “simple structure”, proves “quantum information processing really does provide benefits” over its classical counterparts.  The circuit’s simplicity is found in that it processes a fixed number operations per qubit; exploiting the non-locality of quantum physics.  The circuit is dubbed as having “constant depth.”
