The Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI) has selected IQM Quantum Computers to provide its first full-stack superconducting quantum computer. The acquisition of the IQM Spark, a 5-qubit quantum computer with high fidelity, is set to enhance quantum technology development in Taiwan. Deployment and installation of the system are scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
Both TSRI and IQM aim to accelerate quantum computing development in Taiwan. The IQM Spark system will be utilized for educational and research purposes, supporting TSRI's efforts in advancing quantum technologies. This collaboration also aligns with IQM Quantum Computers' expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region.

TSRI plans to leverage IQM's technical expertise for hardware integration and research efforts. With significant progress in Taiwan's low-temperature Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) and quantum computing technologies, this partnership is expected to contribute to the development of large-scale quantum processors needed for error correction.
