Silicon Quantum Chip Race…
Scientists at Delft University of Technology strengthened quantum information science with recent research demonstrating the spin of an electron being married to a photon via a silicon quantum chip. Being able to connect qubits on a silicon chip will permit large numbers of these quantum bits to conduct parallel computing. Ongoing research involves several types of quantum chips.
