Measuring the properties of spectral lines from single photons is that much more precise, or so we think, thanks to researchers and a ‘10,000 times’ better spectrometer. NIST has been working diligently to improve future prospects of quantum communications via effective interactions with photons at the “quantum repeater” way station between quantum network nodes.
