Quantumizing the Speed of Data Searches. New research and advancements in the “quantum walk” protocol shows promising application. “…[C]onsidering the protocol’s essence as an optimization process…the protocol of fast hitting on glued trees may further trigger many useful applications that utilize quantum speed-up for tasks…” Data searches and logistics are potential gainers of this protocol. Benefit is also seen in the quantum device’s scalability, utilizing an integrated quantum photonic chip. Use of the chip’s scalability places it as a viable candidate for simulating complex physical systems.
