Germany Pouring $40M+ Into Quantum Computing Technology.  Jülich Forschungszentrum, one of Germany’s premier research and development centers, will receive a $40M+ infusion of German government funding to advance, in part, quantum computing technologies.  “…[T]he funds will be applied to research in a number of quantum-based technologies – primarily, computing, communication and storage.”  One of the primary drivers for the work is the potential application of quantum computing to artificial intelligence.
