Researchers in Japan have theoretically met the challenge of errors caused by noise in qubit production. Reduction of the noise is attained through a type of ‘squeezing’ applied to light. Their model delivers 10 billion times the resistance to errors than alternate models.

Japanese research teams theorize reducing errors in quantum systems is possible up to a 10 billion times reduction.
