Potential for New Topological Properties in Quantum Material.  
Tungsten ditelluride, or WTe2, exhibits edge conducting properties.  The newly discovered material shows promising application to quantum computing development.

Researchers from University of California, Riverside, stated “The topological properties of monolayer WTe2 can potentially serve as a platform to realize essential operations in quantum computing.”
