New Quantum Computer Architecture Could Unleash Universal Quantum Computer Power

  • October 31, 2022
  • Research

A QubitQuantum computer power is still being stymied by numerous challenges. One such challenge is the requirement for each quantum bit to interact with all others.

Scientists from the University of Innsbruck are on a trail to meet this challenge. The scientists, using a new architecture for quantum optimization problems, see application of the new architecture to universal quantum computers.

The benefit? There’s no need for all qubits to interact.
