Physicists from Konstanz, Grenoble and Helsinki now focus their attention on heat as an interference factor – and have developed a method to experimentally measure the heat generated by a superconducting quantum system.

…With their experimental evidence, the researchers want to draw attention to the thermodynamic processes of a quantum system. “Our message to the quantum computing world is: Be careful, and watch out for heat generation.
