Infleqtion, a key player in quantum information, is delighted to announce its successful bid for the Q-CALC (Quantum Contextual Artificial Intelligence for Long-range Correlations) project, backed by Innovate UK. This initiative merges quantum computing and artificial intelligence to advance data analysis in defense. Infleqtion will partner with QinetiQ, a prominent defense company, on this project.
Q-CALC will provide the UK with advanced quantum machine learning capabilities, strengthening defense decision-making. In July, Infleqtion expanded into the UK’s quantum software landscape and introduced the QECCO quantum optimization award.
The AI/ML industry is growing rapidly, but scaling costs are a challenge. Training models like GPT-4 costs over $100M, making efficient solutions like Q-CALC crucial.
The project leverages quantum software expertise, algorithm implementation, and benchmarking through Infleqtion’s Superstaq platform.
