Israel’s Technion Receives Substantial Gift

The Hellen Diller Family Foundation has gifted $50M (USD) to the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Not only does this name their Center for Quantum Science, Matter and Engineering after the family, it provides financial support for the new quantum center. Though known for quantum mechanics, Technion anticipates leading the world in quantum research; predominantly in the areas of Quantum Sensing and Detection, Quantum Computing, Quantum Simulators, and Quantum Communications.
