Thales Teams with the Royal Navy. Thales and the University of Southhampton have entered into partnership for benefit of the Royal Navy. Previous commitments between the industry leader and the university entailed quantum navigation technology.
This new agreement’s first project will research development of quantum technology, processes, and procedures needed for the next generation of maritime autonomous vehicles. Given the previous work with quantum navigation and applications by the Royal Navy, this effort is worth tracking.
